Concierge Auctions To Sell Star-Studded Kilkee House In The Bahamas

An exquisite Georgian estate once known to Hollywood’s elite as a lavish party hub, set on two of the most lush and private acres at the coveted western end of Nassau’s Paradise Island in The Bahamas, will sell at auction next month through leading luxury firm Concierge Auctions. An infamous property that once entertained the likes of The Rat Pack and The Beatles in the 1960s, Kilkee House – two sprawling acres with both beach and bay frontage – is one of four luxury estates that will sell at Concierge’s winter portfolio sale on December 3rd at Trump SoHo in New York City. Previously offered for $18.925 million, the property will sell at or above $10 million in cooperation with Lamond and Robyn Davis of Sterling Bahamas Realty.

“Kilkee House offers a unique and ideal balance of seclusion and convenience, accessible only by a short boat ride from the Nassau Harbor and in close proximity to the world-renowned Atlantis Resort & Casino, known for its first-class shopping, food and entertainment,” said Lamond Davis, president of Sterling Bahamas Realty. “This auction presents an incredible opportunity to purchase a unique property with an incredible back story.”

Truly a beachfront estate, Kilkee House is a hidden oasis perched on a private stretch of sugar-sand beach along its northern edge, with more than 200 feet of harbor frontage along the southern edge. The property spans the full depth of Paradise Island, from the beach to the harbor.

A former party hub for the ‘who’s who’ of the celebrity and social scene, only three owners in 60 years have had the privilege to own Kilkee House, including acclaimed thespian Sir Richard Harris and its original creator, an infamous A&P millionaire. Lovingly restored and embellished by its current owners, Kilkee House has been stylishly updated with great respect to its history. Its luxurious master suite includes a spa-inspired bath and
grand dressing rooms, and the four additional bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. The property also offers multiple living rooms, a formal dining room that opens to a private patio and seats 18 people, and independent staff quarters.

Breezy loggias encourage outdoor dining year-round, with a variety of seating options for maximum entertainment possibilities. Outdoor features also include multiple gardens, a stone pool grotto with a spa, a poolside guest cottage with a private terrace and an oceanfront ramp for utility vehicles, which provides land access from the house to island amenities – a marina with a harbor-side gazebo; state-of-the-art dockage with power, water, an outdoor kitchen and lounge area;
and six slips for various-sized boats. The end of the dock can also support a yacht of up to 150 feet.

“Kilkee House is an extraordinary estate that is as beautiful as it is famed,” said Sarena Irwin, vice president of client services at Concierge Auctions. “Located in close proximity to some of the best resorts in the world, it’s completely private, yet in walking distance to everything a person could want. We encourage interested buyers from around the world to get involved to own this piece of paradise on auction day.”

Paradise Island offers its visitors and inhabitants alike breathtaking views, crystal clear turquoise waters, pristine white sand beaches and gorgeous temperatures year-round. Renowned resorts including Atlantis Resort & Casino, The Cove and The One&Only Ocean Club offer ample opportunities to enjoy world-class golf, yachting, swimming with dolphins, diving and snorkeling, five-star beachfront restaurants, spas, luxury boutiques and an alluring nightlife. With more than 300 sunny days each year and an average annual temperature of 75 degrees, nearly every day is perfect for taking advantage of all there is to see and do. Kilkee House is only 30 minutes to Nassau International Airport by boat and car, offering both commercial and private jet service less than an hour to Miami, and just under three hours to New York.
