Fall Out Boy And Yoshirt To Create Custom Concert Tees Of Live Moments

Chicago-based pop-punk group Fall Out Boy will develop photos from upcoming performances into custom apparel for fans to purchase, using online clothing design platform Yoshirt.

Fall Out Boy hit the mainstream music scene in the 2000s. After a three year hiatus, exploring various personal projects, the quartet made their comeback in 2013 with an evolved form of rock. Fall Out Boy’s upcoming ‘Wintour is Coming’ tour will kick off on February 25 at Coliseo de Puerto Rico, in San Juan. They will tour 25 locations for four months, promoting their latest album American Beauty/American Psycho, using mobile technology to put a new spin on their fashion merchandise.

Fall Out Boy’s merchandising company Manhead Merchandise has partnered with online clothing platform Yoshirt, using mobile technology to create customized apparel, for the upcoming ‘Wintour is Coming tour.’

Manhead and Yoshirt will take photos of the live performance each night which will be turned into t-shirts, sweatshirts, and other forms of merchandise. Fans will receive a link to the designs where they will be able to pick their favorite photo and memorabilia, and Yoshirt will print and ship it to them.

“We are constantly thinking of ways to reinvent what merchandise can be for the fans and providing them with new opportunities to be even more interactive with the bands they love,” said Chris Cornell, Founder and CEO of Manhead Merchandise. “Our partnership with Yoshirt is based on the idea of constantly innovating by leveraging technology platforms for the next generation that are based on user-generated, individual self-expression.”

Designs can be customized to make them more personal, and fans are also given the option to upload up their own images, for a totally unique piece. They can also pre-purchase their custom branded clothing to wear at the gig.

“Yoshirt is inspired by a vision where people can take experiences and turn them into physical products.” said Ben Williamson, Founder and CEO at Yoshirt.

The latest collaboration for clothing platform Yoshirt adds to a portfolio of contemporary artists; turning paint into print with graffiti artist EWOK, and award-winning designer Ali Sabet.
