Out making our rounds in the ATL, The Hype Magazine staff and crew caught up with crunk pioneers Big Sam and Lil Bo of the world famous Eastside Boyz. We dug into some of the untold truths behind the Lil John and the Eastside Boyz and the musical phenomenon ignited by the trio. The guys shoot straight from the hip, sparing no-one giving it raw and uncut but with class and jokes…based on the story, they’ve held their composure quite well over the years. How much did Lil John REALLY contribute musically to the product the group delivered? What was their part in the endorsement revenue earned from the group’s persona? Did they really sign a deal on a cocktail napkin at a bar? All those answers and more hit us smack dab in our brain stem, entertaining and shocking us throughout the night as the duo dropped bomb after bomb about how they were victims of the greed, deceit and legal fluckery rampant within the industry.
