Who is Mardy Price?

Mardy Price is a singer, songwriter and producer. The Florida native is the man behind many local acts. Breaking out of the underground scene, he’s a 2 time artist spot lighter at the hottest radio station in Florida, Wild 94.1 in the top 30‘s chart on sound click and still climbing. Mardy is an artist that knows where he belongs and is willing to fight to get there.

You can find him in the streets of central Florida pushing mixtapes and touching base with his fans. “When I think of music, I think of life, I think of trials that I’ve been through and I put life into my music, like me or not, it’s me. It’s real, it’s what helped me and others get through times where only I could touch them, I’m in their radios and ear phones when they wanna get away from the world.”

As you see your self, who is Mardy Price?

Mardy Price is a soulful singer and songwriter, that’s willing to go the extra mile to keep great RnB music around.

What brought you to the entertainment industry and music specifically?

I’ve loved music from a young age. My grandmother and mother were the biggest reasons I came into the music industry. My grandmother’s vocals flooded the streets while singing and washing clothes

What and/or who influenced the sound you bring today?

I loved Bobby Womack, Dru Hill, Tank and Tyrese, because they bring the meaning and passion in music.

What’s happened in your career that makes you feel this is the industry for you?

Well, when I won my first talent show as a kid, that was the point I knew I had a place in music. Once I got older and saw the reaction to my first single titled Foot On the Brake, I just had to pursue the music business.

What was the biggest obstacle in getting to your current career phase?

Well coming from a small city. very few people make it for the reason that there are not many outlets for indie artist so getting outside of the box was the biggest test.

What do you want people get from your music?

From my music I want people to get real singing; real soul with the same feel of today’s music but with meaning behind it

Tell us about your current project?

My current project is titled Leaked 3 I’m pushing my current single titled One on One with soul and club vibe.

What do you feel has been your greatest life achievement so far?

Me singing with James Brown’s God sons Alvin and Calvin at Twin entertainment and also my single Deadbolt with Outcast artist Slimm Calhoun from Atlanta as well as doing a PR deal with The Meme Agency.

If you could collaborate with one artist, living or dead, who would it be and why?

Well, it would definitely be August Alsina because I feel like he has a story behind his music and he puts his heart and life into his music which is what artist like Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder used to do.

If you had to pick one song of yours, that really explains YOU, what would it be?

The one song would be One on One off of Leaked 3 because I’m very competitive and it demands my fair change at all that I do in life.

Last but not least, HYPE wants to know…What’s your CRAZIEST “Where they do that at?!” moment…

Being on stage in Atlanta GA and got grabbed by a fan and almost pulled off the stage let’s just say she kept my shirt LOL.
