Video Review: Montana of 300 ‘Here Now’ (Feat. Tabrielle)

There is something in the air and some revered voices in music have added a new gear to their careers…responsibility and leadership. Looking for something outside of trappin’ or turn up dictated by the machine, several strong voices have hit us with dope messages coupled with bright visuals that can bring a smile of pride from fans for the artist. When the message is strong, inspirational and challenging, it has the potential to open a new door. Right now, Montana of 300 has my ear with Here Now, the inspiring single from his upcoming Fire in the Church Album Release set for May 6th

Here Now, made me smile at the visuals of a young dad there in the morning getting the children ready. That’s what’s needed right now and the storytelling is pure hip-hop. The story pops back and forth between performance footage and daily life in a nearly perfectly shot and delivered video production by Laka Films (Director) and Def Starz (Producer).

On the FLIP SIDE!!! Montana lets loose some straight forward lyrical missiles as Here Now becomes a challenge for rappers whose convo perhaps hasn’t really changed as they grew, time for something not new but REBORN and that is leadership by the voices we listen to the most, connect with via their art. Pure Hip-Hop.

Overall Rating: 4/5, sonically fulfilling, hit’s on all cylinders musically and lyrically. Visuals are top notch and played with the story though I’d have liked some more follow up on the daddy duties. I’m really rocking on positive images right now!

Did you know that April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month? Visuals of strong young men, putting it down for their families, protecting and providing; not misusing them or neglecting them, are perfect! Salute to the team for this joint!
