Who is ApolloNightLA ‘Artist of the Week’ Sippizone?

I’m so jaded when it comes to music it can be hard to get into new artists but Sippizone (@SIPPIZONE), ApolloNightLA recent “Artist of the Week” took me there…can’t wait for you to meet this cat!

I’m gonna say that bright future doesn’t cover what I believe is gonna happen for this artist and you heard him first as part of ApolloNightLA’s discovery and push of #unsigned artists.

In order for someone to make such meaningful music, they must have a story to tell. Not just any story, but a story of struggle, adversity, and hardship, it can’t be made up or fabricated; it has to be authentic. With so much watered-down music these days, true music fans do not have someone to relate to.

From the outside looking in, who is Sippizone?

A person striving to be the best he can be regardless of the obstacles he is faced with.

What brought you to the entertainment industry, music specifically?

I actually was doing poetry before just to express myself and to clear my head and then I went to the studio with one of my guys and he was like bro you should try it. I was kinda shook at first but ended up recording a song i thought was hot and a couple people was like bro i think you got it. So the rest is history.

Tell us about your current project and your ApolloNightLA “Artist of the Week” winning single The Reason.

I Just released an album on several different on-line sites as well as Pandora it’s called Good Intentions Bad Decisions. This album means so much to me because when recording this album I lost my mother, which made me open up so much more with what I laid on each track. You will be able to feel my pain through this body of work as well as my joy, etc. Now so far as the single that won which is called The Reason, was something I wrote playing around in my studio one day like “let that be the reason” and it just stuck. I let a few people hear it and it took off so I’ve been pushing this single every since.

I don’t weigh in much on the “Artist of the Week” posts as regards reviews but THIS artist is the real deal. “The Reason” gets a 5/5 from me for content, passion and honesty. I was just wanting to jam to something inspirational, this would be one of those joints! ~ JD Editor-in-Chief

For new listeners, what song of yours would you pick as an introduction to you?

Growing (Vent) which is the Intro to the Album because it describes my struggle.

Last but not least, HYPE wants to know…What’s your CRAZIEST “Where they do that at?!” moment…

I remember going to open up for Twista in Wisconsin, now mind you I had never been here before but when I hit the stage the crowd was reciting my music like I had been here before, had me turnt all the way. One of them moments that give you a boost.
