About G the Mastermind

Growing up in Northern Chicago and being classically trained on the piano at age six is not what the modern day youth would classify as being a hip artist. However, G The Mastermind knew from an early age that he would incorporate his honed skills as a composer, a producer using his trained ear and his engaging falsetto tone to create continuous musical masterpieces. While attending the illustrious Howard University, G The Mastermind discovered his passion for engineering and producing an array of musical genres. His determination and drive led him to become one of the top engineers in Washington D.C.

With solid street support and a growing social media presence, G The Mastermind became the soulful tour opener for one-time Bad Boy Entertainment artist King Los.

As a producer, audio engineer and artist, G The Mastermind’s credits include working with household names like Gucci Mane, Rocko, Future, Styles P, Shy Glizzy, Young Dolph , Fat Trel and many more. G The Mastermind’s success has led him to be the creative director for the largest female battle rap company, Queen of the Ring. One of his records “Murder She Wrote” features legendary female emcee’s Babs Bunny, Shawnna, and Gangsta Boo.

While continuing to master the production of music, G The Mastermind will be releasing his sophomore project called “This is for you” in late September under the MCR/ADA/Warner Brothers Label giving the viewers more to his sultry and melodic vibes, with “You Remind Me” being his first single on that project.

From headlining shows at the Fillmore to performing at legendary stages at SOB’s, G The Mastermind has definitely raised the bar and is nothing short of #SomethinEpic

Overall, G the Mastermind is a full package of artistry and talent. The care and originality he brings to each of his projects separates him from the symmetry of his generation “I like to challenge myself to make new music consistently. If there’s an arena I haven’t touched yet, just know it’s on the way,” G explains. With deliberate exploration and solid ability, G the Mastermind is sure to make his way into the mainstream in the near future.
