Live Session with Jason Flom creator of the ‘Wrongful Conviction’ series

The Hype Magazine commits one million dollars in promotion and advertising support to Wrongful Conviction with Jason Flom.

Wrongful Conviction with Jason Flom is a podcast about tragedy, triumph, actual innocence and unequal justice. The podcast features interviews with exonerees reviewing their cases and the impact a corrupt system has when it robs an innocent individual of their freedom while the actual perpetrator remains free to commit more violent crimes. To celebrate the initial launch of the podcast, Mr. Flom has pledged to donate up to $1,000,000 — $1 for each stream or download of the podcast — to the innocenceproject.org.

Jason is the CEO of Lava Records and Lava Music Publishing. He previously served as Chairman and CEO at Atlantic Records, Virgin Records, and Capitol Music Group and is personally responsible for launching acts such as Kid Rock, Katy Perry, and Lorde. He is a nationally recognized philanthropist and an expert on criminal justice issues. Flom is a founding board member of the Innocence Project and serves on the boards of Families Against Mandatory Minimums, The Drug Policy Alliance, The Legal Action Center, the NYU Prison Education Program, and VetPaw.

Based on this conversation with Jason, The Hype Magazine, the world’s #1 digital magazine, has dedicated $1,000,000 in advertising and promotional support through its network to Wrongful Conviction with Jason Flom, in support of the Innocence Project agenda. A part of that support shall be publishing the podcast to the magazine’s web portal after it has aired on reVolver podcasts.

The collaboration came as Jason discussed his new podcast series “Wrongful Conviction” with the famed reVolver Podcasts. reVolver is a leader in on-demand audio geared towards multicultural consumers. The Hype Magazine’s “Dark America” column, focuses on #LegalFluckery, and “Wrongful Conviction” is such a genuinely needed program, which led to The Hype Magazine Network dedicating resources to aid and assist in disseminating news on this fantastic program and its successes.” Case studies from “Wrongful Conviction” will also appear in the “Dark America” section of our quarterly print issues.

The Hype Magazine has earmarked ad inventory via its online, digital, print and social media campaigns to support the project. Earning nearly nine million headline impressions monthly via its web portal and more than two million impressions monthly on Twitter alone along with its 250,000 print circulation, adds a powerful viral network into the mix.
