BRIELLE is a new pop star sensation and fashion entrepreneur. Not only is she a talented singer and song writer who just dropped her first self-entitled LP BRIELLE, her music has a positive and uplifting appeal. Vocally she is an artist that sings about a variety of topics including love, pride and fashion. Taking the time to speak with the Hype magazine, BRIELLE lets us in on her business prospects and tells a bit about how it all came together.

“When I make music, my senses get all tangled. I see things or I have different smells that come to me. It goes hand and hand with creating designs and gives me an audio and visual medium”

— BRIELLE

Paving her way through the industry with catchy Billboard and MTV hits, her charm is as sentimental. Not only is BRIELLE in the spot light as a musician but she is also a designer in the fashion world. She wears the outfits of different designers throughout her videos and rocks her own brand as well. Nothing illustrates this more than her single “Rock The Catwalk” which was released for New York Fashion Week. She is also a staff writer for Fashion United and features a column about her music, college life and life in New York City.

Co-written by BRIELLE her LP is produced by Grammy producer Femdouble and Ken Lewis along with Kim Moeller, Andrew Underberg, Pete Ivory, Gian Bravo, and more. It features a variety of great dance tunes and collaborations, such as Free da’ Dreamer. If you haven’t heard of BRIELLE, make sure to check out this amazing new star on the rise.

You have a new self-entitled album! What can you tell me about it?

Well it is about five years in the making! I started writing music when I was 14 and I’ve been wanting to put out this album for some time. After five years of working, I’ve written over 100 to 200 songs! I narrowed it down to ten songs this time and finally put it out. So, my first piece of work is out there and I love it so much.

What can you tell me about your single “Ought to Be”?

I was with Free da’ Dreamer on “Ought to Be.” He’s a little different for me! He presented me with a beat and I loved it so much! It took me about a week to write and it came together nicely. I love the video! It was directed by Annette Navarro and was exactly my vision of the whole vibe of the song. It’s fun and it’s about letting go and having a good time.

When investigating your song “Rock The Catwalk,” I discovered that you are a fashion entrepreneur.

Yeah! I attended the Fashion Institute of Technology. I’ve always loved fashion! When I make music, my senses get all tangled. I see things or I have different smells that come to me. It goes hand and hand with creating designs and gives me an audio and visual medium! So, I’ve always had that side to me. I started working with Colin King, who is a crown designer. He designed all the clothes that I wore in my first video “Catch A Star For You.” He is the reason why my crown is on my logo. I have a little collection of his crowns.

What is different between this album and some of the other recordings you have put out?

This album incorporates some of the previous singles I’ve released. I think the songs are part of a cohesive theme. They were all positive songs that you can dance to. I have a lot of practice song writing. I write about a lot of various topics, but for my first album, I decided to go with more of the dance path that is more radio friendly. I’m working on a lot of music now that is a little darker. The songs are still pop EDM but I dove a little deeper.

If there is anything out there that you want your fans to know about your music, what would that be?

I hope to see everybody at my upcoming shows. During my past holiday performance, I went all out. I had a 15 percent discount off the ticket purchase with a promo code and I hope to see everyone at my shows in the future.
