Recap: Immersive Music Experiences debuts RIFF.TVR at SXSW 2017

South by Southwest (@sxsw) has just concluded and the 2017 experience was quite exciting. In a visit to the South by Southwest exhibitor’s hall, we stopped by an exciting new system called RIFF.TVR a virtual reality music video platform that just takes things to a who new level of band hero type games…

 

Immersive Music Experiences (IMEX), is the company behind the exciting and first of its kind music video platform called RIFF.TVR. This music video platform for virtual reality intimately connects artists and their music with fans, taking gameplay and user-generated content to a new level. It is currently set to launch Q2 2017 on the HTC Vive.

Featuring music from major artists, as well as indies and back catalog, across multiple gameplay modes, RIFF.TVR is redefining the meaning of music videos to make them an active, immersive experience, that allows users to make music alongside their favorite musicians. Whether you want to play drums, guitar, sing, operate cameras, design lighting and sets, or paint your own scenes, alone or with others, RIFF.TVR is a visual canvas for artists focused on bringing out their creativity by putting them in control of the music video. RIFF.TVR as an interactive network will continue to grow and evolve as users take full advantage of the array of available creation tools at their fingertips.
