Sean Price Imperious Rex

Duck Down Records retrospectively preps to release the late Sean Price’s new album entitled Imperious Rex later this summer.  Price’s legacy will be commemorated with his discography in entirety and new merchandise from Duck Down.  Sean Price’s divine decree will arise on August 8th the two-year anniversary of his passing.  In 2015, at the age of 43, Price departed the world, due to an heart attack, peacefully passing on in his sleep.  The rapper also known as Ruck was one half of the Brownsville Brooklyn duo Heltah Skeltah, and a member of Boot Camp Clikk.

Price’s immortality lies in his extensive catalogue of bars.  In 2015, he sadly left hip hop fans the unfinished album Songs in the Key of Price.  In 1996 Price teamed with Duck Down Records on the Heltah Skeltah album Nocturnal.  Duck Down Music was established in 1994.  The name was patterned after Boogie Down Productions hit single, “DuckDown.”  An undeniable influence in New York, the label is responsible for over forty albums, and include artist such as Statik Selektah, Young M.A., and B-Real.

Sean Price’s first single off the posthumous album, “Definition of a God” hit the airwaves in March of this year.  Check out the video below:
