Exclusive: Sian Cross drops a powerful new video for ‘Gave Away’

“Gave Away” by the UK’s Sian Cross (@SianCrossMusic) is already powerful on the sonics and with this cinematic visual, it hits a new high. Sian Cross has been wowing audiences and music lovers across the pond but I think she’d be a top biller here in the states…amazing musical adventure 5/5. ~ JD

Sian says: “The music video is a direct presentation of the story behind Gave Away told through the medium of dance. The lense provides a connection between the subject and myself; I helplessly watch on as my best friend struggles to break away from a life of drugs. The video takes us through her battle all the way through to her eventual redemption after some unexpected news gives her a new perspective on life. This video means a lot to me not only because of its content but it is also the first time I have stepped into the director’s shoes to shoot my own music video.”

Sian has already won nods of approval with airplays from BBC Radio 6Music’s Tom Robinson, BBC Radio London’s Gary Crowley as well as embarking on a hectic festival and touring schedule, supporting artists including Mercury Prize nominated Barry Adamson, Lisbee Stainton, Paul Carrack and BBC’s The Naked Choir winners Sons of Pitches. Also hand-picked to perform at the upcoming Standon Calling 2017 on the official BBC Introducing stage.
