New Music by Young Rapper
Youth Phenom, Young Dapper is back at it with the recent release of his single entitled, “Children’s Story” featuring the Rap Legend, Slick Rick.
Positioning himself if a place that allows him to cater to young and older, Young Dapper is proving that music is a tool that can bring together the masses and be the source of a great time. This is a track that reminds you of when music had meaning while serving you up a feel of what today’s music is all about. Take a listen:

A true child prodigy, Young Dapper is an accomplished rapper, actor, singer, model and athlete. Talented well
beyond his 14 years of age, the clean-cut young man is a modern marvel who began rapping and singing at the tender age of 3 and did his first recording at 9 years old.
Born Eric Mathis in Boston, Massachusetts, Young Dapper’s youth belies a preference for old school music for his rap songs. He leans toward the sounds and tunes he heard at home, while growing up. He also keeps his rhymes G-rated, both for his generation and for the parents of his generation.
Young Dapper initially broke out as a viral video star on YouTube, with his smash hit video, “Ringtone Girl,” which is a play off of fellow Bostonian group New Edition’s classic hit, “Mr. Telephone Man.” Discovered and produced by QC Funk (Juelz Santana, Lil Kim, Eve, Jimmy Cozier, Teddy Riley and others), the young Renaissance man has been building a solid career since he exploded onto the scene. He collaborates with QC Funk on his music, like a seasoned veteran. His “Remake The World” mixtape, hosted by Kev Connect, sold 15,000 units and aired on top radio stations in New York and Boston. His next mixtape will be titled “Classic,” a collection that will feature both old and new classic hip-hop beats. Young Dapper is also collaborating with Slick Rick for the “Hey Young World” remake, known to be a positive, inspirational song. Additionally, his YouTube channel is chock full of great videos by him.
Young Dapper’s musical style combines hip-hop and r&b, displaying a versatility that will ensure him a solid, superstar career. His stage swagger has gotten him pulled off of a stage by enthusiastic young girls, as when he performed at the Diggy Simmons Young Siege Classic Concert in Ithaca, New York.
The debut single from his upcoming CD, called “Mood For Love,” is, as Young Dapper explains it, “for the ladies.” Produced by QC Funk, it’s a hot track, which puts Young Dapper’s skills front and center and paves the way for the release of his anticipated CD.
The New York stage has also witnessed Young Dapper’s performing talents, when he appeared in a stage play called “When You’re Down To Nothing, God’s Up To Something,” by playwright Adonis Williams. His photographic memory came in very handy for preparing for his role as Tray. Add to that Young Dapper’s appearance on the small screen, with a speaking role on FX Television’s “The Louie Show.”
A kid model from ages 5-7, Young Dapper also flexes his athletic muscles, as a wide receiver on a Pop Warner football team called The Mission Hill Buccaneers.
An exceptionally bright pre-teen, Young Dapper is a great student who already recognizes that a public platform can assist him with helping others. He does performances for the Boys and Girls Clubs and has toured with the NFL/Applebee’s Charity Event Across America.
Young Dapper’s budding career has gotten him featured in Hip-Hop Weekly Magazine and he has appeared on BET’s highly rated music tv show, “106 & Park.”
Young Dapper is working hard and enjoying every minute of it. A normal kid despite all his success, he plays video games with relish, as his peers do. With his mom, Angela, by his side, guiding him in the right direction, he is destined for greatness. Young Dapper says, “My mom pushes me to work hard in school and she supports me with my dream of being an artist. I want to be an inspiration to my little brothers, Kane and L.A.”
