Five Questions With Cravetay:

On March 14th, 2000, a sweet Georgia peach was born and ready to take on the music industry like no other. Reigning from Atlanta, Georgia, Taylor Jasmine Ahmed – most famously referred to as Cravetay – is a singer/songwriter with more swag, talent and star power than the average 17-year-old.

From a young age, Cravetay always had a passion for singing and dancing with her siblings, which later made her realize she wanted to become the soundtrack of people’s lives. She grew up around multiple influences of musical genres ranging from rap to gospel to classical, thus transferring into her timeless sound comprising of R&B, Pop and soul.

Originally a member of girl group Charm, Cravetay’s solo career launched in 2015 with her debut mixtape, “IMF” [It’s My Fault], produced by Mike Kalombo. Since the premiere of “IMF”, Cravetay landed a life-changing spot on Lifetime’s The Pop Game, where five talented teens compete for a spot on Grammy-award winning record producer Timbaland‘s label, Mosley Music. Additionally, she has collaborated with LifetimeTV’s The Rap Game stars Lil’ Niqo and Deetranada.

This adolescent starlet has gained the attention of MusicChoice, Blaze Magazine, WuzzupTonight, RnB Magazine, and much more. While utilizing music as a distant escape from the trials of reality, Cravetay aims to be known for her ability to touch people’s lives and her ability to give back through her voice and talent.

The Hype Magazine got the amazing young songstress to weigh in on her fast growing career and her outlook for 2018

As you see yourself, who is Cravetay?

I see my self as a positive figure in this world that sees a lane of lost souls that aren’t being talked too. Though I’m not perfect, I see Cravetay as a superhero who feels like she needs to help and save every last one of the souls in this world with her music and voice. She is the soundtrack of people’s lives.

Tell us about your current project?

My current project I Ieel like is Cravetay growing up. Growing up as in bettering herself and becoming more aware of the things that come her way. This project to me will represent strength, growth, and love all in one.

What’s on your bucket list to accomplish as an entertainer?

One of the things to accomplish as an entertainer is having a whole arena full of people singing my songs, and getting to perform my music overseas, and one day selling out my own tour.

Will you be finishing out 2017 on the road or what’s on your horizon for 2018?

My horizon for 2018 is me going full throttle. Trust me 2018 will be such a work fulfilled year. I feel like that is my year.

The Hype Magazine wants to know: What’s been your CRAZIEST “Where they do that at?! Or “WTF?!” moment thus far in your career?

I don’t have much crazy experience but getting to perform at the wax museum in Hollywood, the El Rey Theatre, on Venice beach, and milk studios in NYC was definitely something I’m proud of.
