Ronnie Fieg KITH Sport Athleisure Collection at NY Fashion Week Resurgence

Queens native, Ronnie Fieg explores 90’s sportswear with KITH Sport capsule at 2018 NYC Fashion Week.

Sneaker visionary Ronnie Fieg @RonnieFieg debuted a new aesthetic for his lifestyle brand labeled KITH Sport.  His sophomore show at NYC Fashion Week pulled out the heavyweights with a collection in 90’s retrospection.  Pushing limitless collaborations with Nike, Adidas, Champion, Ice Berg, Off-White, Clarks, and Timberland, among others.  The Car Club Manhattan housed celebrities and designers eager to end the monotony from the New York streets.  Fieg garnered support from Jerry Lorenzo designer of Fear of God, Infamous DJ and sneaker collector Clark Kent, Virgil Abloh Off-White collaborator, and Queens emcee Action Bronson.  Bronson teased a “Friends and Family”, Nike Air Maestro II USA, presented to himself and Don C creator of Just Don.  To date Ronnie Fieg has over 50 collaborative efforts under his belt spawning from the success of an Asics Gel Lyte III known as the “252 Pack” which appeared on the cover of the Wall Street Journal, and proceeded to sell out in 24 hrs.

KITH has been on the ground running since 2011, when the Brooklyn storefront opened their doors.  A new store inspired by KITH Treats has recently emerged in Tokyo, as Fieg extends his empire.  In 2016, Fieg teamed with Nike for a pop-up shop, as an extension of KITH Treats, a cereal bar, that underwent a 2 million dollar renovation.  On September 8th, NBA stars, past and current, dominated the presentation of the modern day Tinker Hatfield.  King James represented his Nike roots, debuting a Lebron 15 sneaker with both floral and zipper vogue artistry.  As a precursor Fieg teased a collective effort with NBA legend Scottie Pippen,, the purple suede Nike Maestro II, and a Animal Print Air Pippen 1.  A communal gathering for the sneaker community, the capsule explored men’s mode and leisure with a fresh color and texture palette.  These appearances added to the exhibitions synergy proving Ronnie Fieg to be an innovator, and trailblazer.

The collective effort was followed by a KITH capsule of clothing that contained 150 rare pieces.  The Tribeca revival of NYC fashion week has spawned international esteem.  Ronnie Fieg is at the helm.  The show contained more than 100 looks for Spring/Summer 2018.  Fieg is a sneaker icon, now he’s expanded to street-wear through urban exploration.  As Ronnie Fieg attempts to balance his busy schedule, he enters a new league of designers inspired by urban footwear.  The retrograde Air Pippen is an instant classic, as KITH Sport leaves an imprint on fashion history.
