Twitter Will Be Streaming The Global Citizen Festival

Twitter will live stream the Global Citizen Festival in Central Park, New York City, New York on September 23, 2017. The Global Citizen Festival brings together top music with world leaders to make commitments toward health, gender equality education, and other poverty issues. Guests earn their tickets after taking a series of natural processes to effect change around the world, and for the first time ever, fans around the world can also catch the festival on Twitter.

T-Mobile is the exclusive, presenting sponsor of the Festival’s live stream. Headliners for this year’s festival are Stevie Wonder, Green Day, The Killers, The Lumineers, and The Chainsmokers with special performances from Pharrell Williams, Big Sean, Andra Day, and Alessia Cara.

This stream follows a handful of live music streams on Twitter in the past year, including live streams from of FYF Fest, the Grammys, Billboard’s behind the scenes lifestyle content at Coachella, a series of live shows through Live Nation, including Zach Brown, Marion Hill, and Train, and Ariana Grande’s #OneLoveManchester show.
