From the outside looking in Tito M.O.N.T.A.N.A. is “MOVING. On. New. Territory. Acquiring. Nobody’s. Approval.” My mission is to do it my way…
What brought you to the entertainment industry, music specifically?
Definitely my love for music and the Hip Hop culture as a whole, but also the opportunities that come along with being a success in the entertainment industry.
You’ve moved from the streets to the suites so to speak, in your journey, what does it mean for you to have begun to cross over on a broader scale; leading a take-back of Hip Hop, in a manner of speaking?
I’ve always been a fan of Hip Hop, and I grew up in the streets due to my unfortunate upbringing. The thing I realized is that the streets & the industry are one in the same, however in the streets, your word is your bond, and that’s what I’m accustomed to whereas, in the industry, it’s the complete opposite. In the industry, you can deliberately lie and just charge it to the game lol….
As far as the music itself my angle is to bring some of that vivid picture painting style of rap back, that’s missing from the game today.
Tell us about your current project and what makes it most special for you?
My current project is called “Why Not Me?” Produced by the legendary (L.O.X. Producer) Vinny Idol & my in-house Producer Half which features Maino, Fred The Godson, Dave East, Nino Man, D-Weathers & Emanny.
This project is so special to me and my label Final Score Entertainment because it’s the 1st release that has really been connecting well with my audience.
For new listeners, what song of yours would you pick as an introduction to you as an artist?
I would have to say “Lil Shorty” but the title track “Why Not Me?” Ft Emanny & Nino Man is a more in-depth version either track will do
Tell us a bit about your work and passions OUTSIDE of music…
I love to travel, give back to my community (people in need period) but more importantly spend time with my children.
Last but not least, HYPE wants to know…What’s your CRAZIEST “Where they do that at?!” aka WTF?! moment…
I can’t lie, some of today’s fashion be having me like that! I get the music evolving, but some of the stuff men are wearing today I can’t wait til they play the tape back from this era it’s gonna be a lot of regrets lol
