Event Recap: Cloud Countdown Music Series

The first annual Cloud Countdown Music Series kicked off December 17, 2016 in Melbourne, FL at Melbourne Auditorium. The mission of the event is to bring Brevard County unique entertainment and take it to another level, with diverse music performed by artists from all over the state of Florida and surrounding southern states.

The first act to perform was Phantom Phunk based out of Tampa, FL. The band is a mix of neo-progressive rock, old school music, and classic rock at the same time. They have self-described their genre as “Indie-Graveyard Pop.” Up next was the Melbourne duo Benjamin Flexington and Lil YNT who stormed the stage with their singles “Bando”, “Big Dawg Status”, and “Down for Me.” The audience loved their performance so much that they performed again. Along with the performances, attendees got the chance to network.

A little later in the evening, the up-and-coming Alaina Lashay captivated the audience with her hit single “Ain’t Feel Yall” which was followed by a performance from Johnny Jr who performed his single “Coyote.” In between sets, DJ SoulOne and DJ Tony T entertained guests with a variety of music. Artist Trevis T lit up the stage and the audience jumped to their feet with his singles “Green Leaf Lettuce” and “Like This” while brother and sister hip hop duo Coed Fly performed their popular remix to “Panda” and their song “I Got You.”

Another artist who gained attention and was very interactive with the audience was Kupid aka Q who performed a host of singles including “Who Shot Ya” Black Shadow Remix, “Something Feat J Rah”, “Test Di Foundation”, “Searching”, and “Hey Girl.” Other artists who performed include Keyate aka Yate and Mr. Narly.

Record label appearances included DJ Five Venoms from Society One Music and Tye Casablanca from Raise Em Up Records and others. Cloud Countdown Music Series was presented by Lions Vision and MD Enterprises. The event was hosted by Ingrid.
