Tell us about your latest single and music video? What inspired you to record the single? Did you write it yourself or did you compose the song with someone else?

Can I just start off by saying thank you Hype for featuring me and my music, it means a lot to me. Music is honestly my first true love. Everything that I sing. Everything that comes out of my mouth is from my heart.

I write all my music, I wouldn’t feel comfortable doing it any other way! I’m lucky that the producer I work with, my band and I are always on the same page when it comes to creating anything. I especially felt that way with my song “Thought You Should Know” featuring Ajona Camile. I wrote that song five years ago and I still head bang to it. It still makes me feel love and hate, not towards anything in particular, just ignites those emotions. That’s what I wanted to do with my music video for it. I want everyone to bang their head and wanna break sh**. In the best way.

Do you feel your current project is a great introduction to you as an artist? What do you hope your fans will take from the song.

I do think my current project is a great introduction. It’s a culmination of my evolution as an artist and my evolution as a human. It hasn’t been a short, easy road but it’s my journey and I’m really happy I’ve waited to introduce myself until I was ready; Both as an artist and as a person.

What is the type of music you usually surround yourself with.

I only surround myself with sh** I think is bad ass. Music, art, people, tequila lol life is too short to not be inspired or love with everything in your life, I think. I was raised on Janet Jackson, Josephine Baker, TLC, Madonna, Led Zeppelin and everything in between. I don’t really listen to the radio, I prefer to discover new music on my own, while also putting my iPod on shuffle so I can listen to my own library.

What’s on your horizon for 2017?

World domination!

The Hype Magazine wants to know: What’s been your CRAZIEST “Where they do that at?! Or “WTF?!” moment thus far in your career?

HA! This is the best question, hmm…Hard to say because there are so many wtf moments in this industry. I usually find myself yelling WTF when I’m driving on the 405 but in my career, I would have to say when I witness trolls!!!! Like, omg, why would someone go out of their way to be unbelievably mean, negative, hateful and stupid with jokes that aren’t funny?!

Every time I see that stuff it baffles me. Just be nice and mind our own business. Even Bambi knew, if you don’t have something nice to say don’t say a thing at all… There are so many better things to do. Like drinking or masturbating!
