When we caught up with Frenchie last year for a brief interview, we got to meet an humble and grounded young man who told our Todd Davis, “I want to be an experience that cannot be forgotten lyrically. With his uncle being DJ Hurricane, most famously known for holding down the ones and twos for the world famous Beastie Boys, as well as Waka Flocka Flame’s blood cousin, South Jamaica, Queens, rapper Frenchie is definitely the one to keep watch on in the coming weeks and months. As an original member of Brick Squad Monopoly, and label owner in his own right with the recently launched Protekted Records, Frenchie is currently gearing up to unleash his highly anticipated, star studded still untitled solo debut in early ’15. – Todd Davis
