Live Session: Chris and Kyle Massey talk the Starkey Foundation ‘Listen Carefully’ campaign to fight hearing loss in youth

Chris and Kyle Massey are best known from their roles on television, Chris for his starring role in the Nickelodeon, family TV series Zoey 101 and younger brother Kyle has been on screen with Disney for nearly 16 years. Both brothers have quite the hand in the music business as well, both as entertainers as well as producers.

The Massey Brothers’ involvement with the music industry and their NRA activities such as celebrity shoots, brought to the forefront for them, a very serious dilemma facing our youth today and that is hearing loss. Not the “Oh darn I’m deaf all of a sudden” kind of hearing loss, but the gradual ever increasing loss that occurs from listening to music too loudly, failing to use hearing protection during loud sporting events and would you believe it, using a hair dryer!!!

The Massey Brothers joined with and support the Starkey Hearing Foundation “Listen Carefully” program, which champions the hearing of our youth especially, with unique opportunities for them to learn and discuss hearing loss prevention and win some cool prizes.

Currently, the “Listen Carefully” campaign put forth a contest wherein young people can create their own video regarding the importance of protecting their hearing for the future with a slate of awesome prizes. Grand Prize: A private Aloe Blacc concert at the winner’s school, VIP hangout with Massey Brothers and Aloe, a GoPro Hero3+, cool “Listen Carefully” swag, and all the bragging rights that come with it!
