Fashion Brand Cienne Launches
New York-based fashion brand Cienne has opened for business. Driven by ‘a narrative to motivate responsible change in how we experience fashion today’, Cienne is the brainchild of Founder Nicole Heim, who joined forces with co-Founder Chelsea Healy, who met while studying at the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2003. The label offers small-batch collections made from hand-woven textiles from around the world. Designed and manufactured in New York’s garment district, collections are released on season and available online. The pre-fall/fall 2015 collection features clean lines and bold stripes, taking inspiration from singer Françoise Hardy and the African adventures of explorer and photographer Peter Beard.
