National Celebrities to Host Charity Kickball Tournament

Boom Herron of The Indianapolis Colts to Host First Annual Kickball Tournament

Indianapolis, Indiana- July 7, 2015- Nothing says summer quite like kickball in the park, great food with friends and those memorable summer tunes. The ultimate summer experience will culminate at the first annual Boom Herron Day Party in the Park, July 11, 2015 at Noon at The Midwest Sports Complex, 7509 New Augusta Road in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The event will feature a food truck extravaganza, a kickball tournament featuring local and national celebrities and SNKfest, the shoe collector’s dream. A portion of the proceeds will go toward Helping Hands for Freedom, a non-profit organization supporting civil service members as well as members of the armed forces. Proceeds will also support Soles4Souls, a charity providing shoes to needy children.

“My friend Isaac from Mobile Network One has been talking to me for years about putting on a family friendly event. I checked out the charity and said ‘let’s roll with it’,” remarked Herron.

This event is a spin off from the overwhelmingly successful Murphy Lee Block Party in the Park, which in 2013 raised thousands of dollars for charity.

The Boom Herron Day Party in the Park will be hosted by Ms. EKlass of 93.9, Boom Herron of the Indianapolis Colts, Grammy- award- winning artist Murphy Lee and R&B singer Trevor Jackson.
