Who is Clas$ick and where are you from?

Clas$ick was born and raised in Zephryhills, Florida. Later moving to Jacksonville,Florida his junior year of high school.

Who has been your greatest inspirations musically and why?

I’m inspired by alot of great artist before my time. From Outkast, 2 Pac, Nas, and Lil Wayne. But hip-hop isn’t the only thing that inspires me I get inspiration from new trends of art, fashion, and even politics. I’m very in touch with what’s currently going on in our society, hoping to always have that connection with the listeners.

What do you feel you offer the music industry that we don’t already have in other performers?

Versatility is something I possess and feel alot of upcoming rappers lack. This is what separates an artist from a rapper, being able to bring more to the world than just great music. I wanna be the type of artist that gives back to his community, and makes those one on one connections with his fans. And lyrically there aren’t many artists with wordplay like me, it’s always been what makes my music stand out. As I’ve grown with my music I’ve developed a faster rap style and creative technique to tell stories thru my songs.

When can we expect some new music from you?

In 2014 I released to mixtapes that can be found on datpiff.com, “Back 2 The Clas$icks” and ” Psychedelic”. Im currently working on my first official album which will be dropping early 2016, which will be titled “Backstage Pass”. Basically it’ll be a deeper look into my life thru the struggles, the growth, and how I’ve become the man I am today.

Whats your plans for 2015?

2015 has been a great journey for me as I’m deep into recording my first album “Backstage Pass”. I’m looking to perform state to state and expand my fanbase. I have to thank my manager, Hakim Ahmed, for putting so many great opportunities before me. Before this year is over with you can expect more music video’s and singles leading up to my album.

If you could collaborate with one artist, living or dead, who would it be and why?

I’d really like to collaborate with Andre 3000, I think we’d make something never heard before. It would certainly be monumental, and to do it with one of my idols in this music industry is even more exciting. There’s so much I’d like to learn from him lyrically and man to man.

Last but not least, HYPE wants to know…What’s your CRAZIEST “Where they do that at?!” moment…

Wow, that’s a hard you there’s so many lol. But I’m going with something a little off the wall I guess. To this day I have never been to Chuckie Cheese, like never. Used to get clowned all the time at school when people found out smh. But aye I’ve made it this far without going so I think I’m good lol!
