Exclusive: DJ Michael Watts talks new music from Texas legends Dirty South Rydaz
This is DJ Michael Watts founder & owner of The Platinum selling Swishahouse Records Label. When I hear the letters D.S.R. (Dirty South Rydaz) I immediately think about Texas and these DFW (Dallas, Fort Worth) Legends. These guys have been making their mark on the Texas underground music scene for years! The group line up consist of: Big Tuck, Tum Tum, Fat B, Double T, Lil Ronnie and Addiction. It seems like just yesterday they were freestyling in my studio for my mixtapes. They were one of the 1st groups to bring the Crunk energy to the Texas rap scene. Right now I’m listening to their new single Count This Cake. I’ve gotta say these guys have definitely grown up, but haven’t grown out of style. I’m looking forward to hearing their new album Dinero, Stacks & Revenue dropping 9/11/15. Overall, I’m happy to see that DSR are still working together & pushing the meaning of the word TEXAS GRIND. –– WATTS OUT
