GREG HOLDEN TO JOIN VINTAGE TROUBLE

ON TOUR THIS FALL

“BOYS IN THE STREET” FEATURED AS

ZANE LOWE’S WORLD RECORD ON BEATS 1

“Greg Holden, ‘Boys In The Street’: what a record. What a song. Absolutely amazing.”

 –  Zane Lowe

New York-based singer and songwriter Greg Holden has announced he will be joining blues rock band Vintage Trouble on their fall tour in the U.S., starting with the Minneapolis, MN show on September 12 and continuing for 16 other dates through October.  Just prior to that, he will play at Lightning 100’s Live on the Green music festival in Nashville, TN on September 3, as well as a special Communion NYC duo performance at Rockwood Music Hall on September 9. Tickets for all shows are on sale now, with more information at GregHoldenOnline.com.

Holden is touring in support of his major label debut album Chase The Sun, featuring single “Hold On Tight” as well as the incredibly moving “Boys In The Street. The song was chosen just last week as Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 World Record, with Lowe saying, “Once a year, if you’re lucky, you get one song that comes along that really reaches people… coming out of Aberdeen, you’ve got this artist called Greg Holden who’s released this song, which does just that. So you should listen.”

Holden has earned a name for himself as an independent artist for the last several years, releasing two albums, 2009’s A Word in Edgeways and 2011’s I Don’t Believe You. His song “The Lost Boy” – a poetic rumination inspired by a Dave Eggers’ novel about a Sudanese refugee – hit No. 1 on iTunes in Holland and raised over $50,000 for the Red Cross. Within two weeks of being featured on Sons of Anarchy, “The Lost Boy” sold 30,000 downloads in the U.S. and debuted at No. 36 on Billboard’s Rock chart. Holden also earned recognition for writing the massive hit “Home” – the debut single for American Idol winner Phillip Phillips that sold five million tracks in the U.S. and earned Holden an ASCAP Pop Award.
