YRS Jerzy steady growth keeps the fire burning

A couple years back, I met this young eager cat calling himself DJ YRS Jerzy and I dug his moniker plus he had some banging and innovative sounds coming from camp. Now, Jerzy’s movement has ignited to the point he’s caught support of respected outlets like Soundcloud and Audiomack as well. Here’s a little catch up interview we got with the emerging powerhouse holding it down from Charlotte, NC.

From the outside looking in, who is YRS Jerzy?

YRS Jerzy is a up and coming music mogul from Jersey City, NJ but currently located in Charlotte. I do a little bit of everything, from getting artists heard to being in the media and also starting my own touring company. I work with several different people and will always branch out to different opportunities for me to learn something new. The “YRS” in my name stands for “Young Rich Successful” it’s a way of life I am getting towards nowadays and I feel like it’s a great image for me. “Jerzy” is the name people gave me when I moved from New Jersey to North Carolina so I ran with it (Laughs).

What brought you to the entertainment industry, music specifically?

I have always wondered how this industry really works and now that I’m learning more and more about it everyday, I see why it is something everyone wants to be involved in. Plus, growing up, I always saw myself being in the industry and now that things are getting to a higher level I see things from a different stand point. I know what I need to do to keep progressing, I just have to get more and more people everyday to keep up with the movement. Everything is coming into place and it’s just a matter of time before what I have going on gets to the masses.

What do you want people get from your vision?

I just want the people to really see what I am envisioning before the world sees it if that makes any sense. My vision is a lot different from others I want nothing but success around me and that’s how it’s becoming. For me to even be around certain people now they have to put in work I don’t like being around anyone that’s lazy. I have to be around people with a work ethic that matches mine. I just like to stay focused and make moves and be successful.

Tell us about your current project and your latest single.

Right now I have a single out with Hue Hef titled “Brick For Breakfast” that’s getting some great reviews online right now. Working on a lot and soon will have more releasing. My brother and artist Slide Dillinger, has his latest single “Silver Bullet” that was premiered by DJBooth.Net out right now. You just have to stay tuned for all I have going on there’s a lot to look out for in the near future.

What has been your greatest professional achievement so far?

One of my greatest achievements I feel I haven’t reached yet but I can say the day I walked into the AudioMack offices was definitely a great experience. Shoutout to the whole AudioMack team once again for all the support make sure you go and download their app. I also got support from Soundcloud a couple of days ago as well, they sent me a care package which you can find online on my pages. I know there’s a lot more in store for me I just have to keep working and building.

For new listeners, what song of your artists would you pick as an introduction to your artists?

One track I would say from Neph would be “Perfect Timen” I feel like that’s a great track people will love. For Slide, he has several unreleased tracks I can’t release the titles to yet that you will hear soon. Last but not least, HYPE wants to know…What’s your CRAZIEST “Where they do that at?!” moment…

Earlier about a day or two ago, I had someone text me like around three in the morning about how I unfollowed them on Twitter. I thought that was hilarious that you don’t have anything else to do but worry about that. And also had a couple older artists that never had promising careers, try to speak down on what I have going on. But I just keep progressing and let my success speak for myself everyone will see the vision soon.
