LA’s Newest Pop Starlet Party Nails Premieres Debut Single “Break” on Neon Gold

Elana Belle Carroll, the 25-year-old songwriter and performer out of Los Angeles, introduced the world to her pop project Party Nails today, premiering her explosive debut single “Break” on Neon Gold. “‘Break’ is the kind of lovesick shotgun anthem that will never leave your side, triumphant synths shimmering incandescently over a steady heartbeat groove and a revelatory vocal that brings to mind the glittering incantations of HAIM as reimagined through a Scandinavian pop filter. In other words, it’s an absolute dream,” the blog raves, also calling the track “one of summer’s most promising debuts.”

Party Nails is the pop incarnation of songwriter/performer Elana Belle Carroll. Elana’s journey to Party Nails has been a fascinating one: At the age of 11, she was performing original Americana in her small upstate New York town of Chatham. At 15, she was writing country music, and by 18 she’d moved to NYC to write and self produce her first solo project Vernous. After initially cultivating a dark electro sound for Vernous, Elana found herself in Los Angeles, headed down the opposite path, landing sonically in a celebratory indie-pop land somewhere between influences Haim, Charli XCX and Robyn.

The result is Party Nails’ upbeat, disco-inspired single, “Break.” Hooky synth drums and funky guitars set the stage for Elana’s soaring vocal over crisp production from Brooklyn’s Shadom. “Break” is a dance-floor revelation, a fun, irresistible groove-a-thon that never lets up.

Party Nails will play a single release show at LA’s El Cid this Friday, September 4.
