Live Session: Big Brother Biz artist, producer and creator of MicrophoneBully.com

Biz_2Music writes itself, you just go for the ride ~ Big Brother Biz

When explaining his moniker, Big Brother Biz whether consciously or not laid out the three phases of man. He started out with the Biz, his peers began to call him Brother Biz and the youngsters added the Big. Now, Big Brother Biz is known not just for his mental, his career as a producer, songwriter and lyricist are taking him to new highs. Not to mention, he’s the creator of one of New York’s finest online portals MicrophoneBully.com.

As an artist, his latest single “Nobody” speaks volumes regarding holding one’s own mud and staying true to the vision that set you on your path to greatness.“ The song, produced by one of his alter egosBeat Hogan” has one of the coldest hooks I’ve heard “I don’t know nobody, don’t nobody know me, I don’t owe nobody either.” Not many can truthfully say that!

Overall Rating: 5/5 The joint is simply perfect. Lyrical content, musicality (In Hip-Hop whaaaat?!), with attention to the small details that make a long lasting joint. On top of the content, which is right on point, Biz brought the fun and I DARE you not to get this song stuck in your head.

“Nobody’ is a dope follow up to last month’s single “Doing Me”, produced by On Da Ave (not an alter ego this time), and for me, it puts people in their place so to speak. I’m a HUGE fan of “If you weren’t rocking with me at the beginning, if you were a naysayer, then stay on your side as I’m successfully “Doing Me.” This joint really meets me where I am right now.

Not just an entertainer, Big Brother Biz and his Microphonebully.com web portal, shine light on some of the hottest artists breaking out from across the country as well as relevant news.

I asked Biz his thoughts about the growing importance of online media aka new media and he put it simply that online hits further, faster and to more people…”They realize they lost” he says in speaking about the print media community. He broke it down a bit further so listen into the audio session below and get a piece of the mind of a successful serial entrepreneur, song writer, Emcee, producer…thinking man.

In addressing the loss of urban print media outlets Biz says “We’ve lost something major in print, we lost memorabilia … music memorabilia.”

Another key point in our conversation is the relationship between artists and media sites as he feels “They have not supported the the outlet yet they turn around and try to get a post from that site. When they then get hit with a price list, they are pissed.”

Biz’s keys to success? “Building, nurturing and growing relationships” says Biz and he’s right. Nothing works better or lasts longer than a relationship earned.

Our conversation covered a variety of subjects which Biz freely delved into and this turned into quite the conversation. Listen in!!!
