‘The PJs’ co-created by Eddie Murphy finds new home on Fuse

“The PJs” is one of the best animated series creating a conversation about inner-city life. Timeless in its content, The PJs brought a unique, insightful and entertaining look at life in the city. One of my favorites! The Emmy Award winning series has found a new home on Fuse! Not to be on some fan type thing, Fuse is really stepping up their game when it comes to urban programming.

Fuse has acquired The PJs, a three-time Emmy®-winning, stop-motion animated series created by Eddie Murphy (who stars), Larry Wilmore and Steve Tompkins.  All 43 episodes will be offered on the network. Viewers can Get Your PJs On! with a 3-hour block of episodes airing every Tuesday night at 7p.m. ET, beginning September 29.

Murphy  plays Thurgood Stubbs, the chief superintendent of a Detroit housing project — a likeable guy who carries a short-temper and a big attitude regarding the place he calls home. Loretta Devine plays his wife Muriel. The comedic satire sparked a dialogue about inner-city life.
