As you see your self, who is Alexa Luckey ?
Alexa Luckey is a young entertainer that dreams of making incredible art that inspires all people to express their uniqueness and individuality.
What brought you to the entertainment industry and music specifically?
I was attracted to the entertainment industry at an extremely early age. I saw it as an opportunity to express myself and be free, and hopefully inspire others to do the same.I began dancing at nine months, when I began walking, and soon after, I began acting in theatrical productions at my school. Though I was seven when I began writing original songs, music was also a large part of my life growing up. My mother played instruments and she always had some sort of music on when I was growing up. Music, similar to dancing and acting was another form of expression to me, but it gave me the opportunity to be even more creative and expressive.
What and/or who influenced you to start being an entertainer?
Growing up, I loved watching videos of Michael Jackson performing. I would always study his movements and the way he worked the audiences, he had a style unlike any other entertainer. That forced me to want to develop my own style and sound. I was also heavily influenced by Alicia Keys at an early age. She is one of the people that attracted me to songwriting and piano playing. My other influences include Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, and Usher.
Tell us about your current project?
Groove is the single that I recently put out, and it will be released on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, and all other digital stores and streaming services on September 1. When I went into the studio, I really wanted to write and record a song that all people could dance and move to, and I’m extremely happy with the result.
What do you feel has been your greatest life achievement so far?
Releasing “Groove” and hearing all of the positive responses has definitely been amazing. Being able to release a song is certainly a great achievement in itself, but its even more amazing to know that others are genuinely enjoying my work.
If you could collaborate with one artist, living or dead, who would it be and why?
If I could collaborate with one artist, it would definitely be Alicia Keys. Alicia is one of the artists that inspired me to begin making music, and I think that together we could create something phenomenal. She is also one of the artists that I feel that I could learn a lot from.
If you had to pick one song of yours, that really explains YOU, what would it be?
My single “Groove” really explains me because it talks about being confident, letting loose and just having a great time, all things that I’m about. “Groove” also has tons of energy and is super fun and exciting, similar to myself.
Last but not least, HYPE wants to know…What’s your CRAZIEST “Where they do that at?!” moment…
A few weeks ago, I went to grab some food with a friend and ordered french fries. My friend swore that she didn’t want any food, but kept eating out of my french fry container, and before I knew it, all of my fries were gone. Eating people’s food… Where they do that at?Tweet
