Riding a tidal wave of energy fueled by his own passion, and hard work, 7th Ward New Orleans urban poet Negus prepares to release an artistic chronicle of his adolescence. Hosted by the legendary DJ Hektik, Be Afraid Not Discouraged St Anthony & Urquhart Chronicles features Neno Calvin, Goo Glizzy, and NOLA’s beloved MuddyCupBuddy. Production on the mixtape includes CGB veteran producers LewKaineBeats, KCTheProducer, 1DopeLife, and Negus himself on “The Throne”. Additionally, Hollywood Cole, and RPoreeBeats bless the 17 track project with some quality sound as well.
Negus has a great ear, an interesting story, and is gifted in knowing how to share them all. Driven by family values and a desire to give his family a better life, Negus at just 21 years young has already developed strong skill-sets in making the best of tough situations. These New Orleans streets can be mean, relentless, and unforgiving to even the most hardened hearts. Be Afraid Not Discouraged will illustrate Negus’ spiritual, and entrepreneurial journey as he navigates honorably on some of the meanest blocks.
