Slim Thug teamed up with two more Houston music stalwarts, Z-Ro & Paul Wall for what is actually a pretty heavy video for the single “Drank.” The joint is off Slim Thug’s recent “Hogg Life, Vol. 3: Hustler of the Year” project which in my humble opinion, is a stone cold piece of work from the Acres Homes area OG.
About the new video, I like the way Angus Walker described it on hotnewhiphop.com, “The video begins with shots of purple syrup cascading into styrofoam cups full of bubbling soda and goes on to show the H-Town vets moving gracefully through the city in slow motion. There have been no shortage of codeine-inspired songs this year, but on “Drank,” the three Houston OGs provide a nuanced look at the addictive beverage, acknowledging the potentially detrimental effects it has had on their hometown.” (A.
