Klue Signs to etcetc Music & Nuffsaid Agency & Announces Debut EP

Contemporary soul man Klue, aka Gabriel Clouston, this week signs to independent record label etcetc Music and electronic agency NUFFSAID. Equal parts producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Klue’s musical identity is a unique blend of garage, soul and Afro-beat which has brought him notable industry and media support in such a short time.

Klue’s debut ‘Way I’m Lovin You’ found its way onto Triple J earlier this year and promoted a natural flow of online support. FasterLouder said the single was one of the ‘8 Aussie Songs You Need To Hear’, while electronic behemoths Hermitude and Double J’s Lance Ferguson told everyone that Klue was one of the ‘Top Australian Artists To Watch’. Sydney’s FBi Radio also locked Klue in as ‘Independent Artist of the Week’ joining the likes of WAAX, Vallis Alps, Moonbase Commander in 2015.

Strong in his vision, Klue’s sound encompasses a lot of his own skills as musician. Playing a range of woodwind instruments, percussion and drum programming, Klue’s sound is influenced by a mix of UK garage and Afro-beat musicians, while his vocal style comes from a childhood of classic soul tunes. Having toured through Australia and Africa with his band True Vibenation, Klue has developed an acute awareness of how to turn out a sure fire party vibe.

Klue’s emersion in the world music scene has been significant. Having toured through Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Swaziland and South Africa, he also hosts a weekly radio show on FBi Click ‘Bare Necessitates’, an outlet for full of world music, rare groove and electronica.

Last month saw the release of Klue’s follow-up ‘Hiding’, a perfect summertime accompaniment of uplifting beats and topical feels. Building on Klue’s exiting hype, ‘Hiding’ hit #9 on Triple J’s Unearthed chart and as already accrued close to 100,000 spins on Spotify.

‘Hiding’ is the first single from Klue’s debut EP which is due for release in March 2015 on etcetc Music. After shows at One Day Festival and Subsonic Festival, Klue today announces his debut tour in support of Hiding, Taking him up and down the east coast of Australia, across to Adelaide & Perth for Southbound festival.
