From the outside looking in, who is J-Pitt?
From Inglewood, CA
Puerto Rican & Belizean
Inspired by Usher, Snoop Dogg and 2Pac
I’m friendly, out spoken, out going, funny cracking jokes, & caring for others and I help who needs it. I’m always my best on anything. I’m not quitter, never give up; I fight for those who’ve been there since day one.
What brought you to the entertainment industry, music specifically?
I was in a dancing krew, we used to practice at the Boys & Girls club. I always get together with the people that motivated me to keep going. My friend Scott, taught me how to engineer more and after that I kept dancing for Kirk Franklin. After every show he performed, I learned more about rules about music & the music industry. I got more close with the Church called Faithful Central Youth Takeover in Inglewood California. I meant a church step team fraternity called Block-P. I met close friend name Eric Ballinger & he helped with my best friend name Arc. They influence great music & me to be a better artist.
Tell us about your current project and your ApolloNightLA “Artist of the Week” winning single.
I made I mixtape called “On Yo Sh*t “for the holidays so guys can play it for their independent girl that is on her sh*t meaning she got her life together & that’s when I made up a song called “She Don’t Like It.” “She Don’t Like It” is a song about a girl not liking a dude with no car, no crib & in other words a guy that don’t have his life together. This single is a girls song that every female can relate to.
For new listeners, what song of yours would you pick as an introduction to you?
The song I would pick is “Roll With Me.”
Last but not least, Hype wants to know…”What’s your craziest “where they do that at?!” moment…
Craziest moment of my life is when I when to a function with arc & vision we was like 16 the bro vision was Ding when I told arc lets go help vision soon as we move they started shooting & a boy & girl took are place & they where members of the church we when to so I jump on top of arc & vision to protect them form the bullet. all this was in California La County. That’s been my craziest moment.
