Who are Da Pretty Boyz?

daprettyboyz_620x350_2No matter the era, place or genre, boy bands have been and will always be the favorites of female fans, no matter where they have screamed, fainted and fantasized. Boy bands have come and gone and for some, their memories will live forever. The one thing you can count on in life is that a change is gonna come, and soon the world will be introduced to a family affair.

A family of two brothers and a cousin, traveled and lived from one state to another, but eventually settled in Jacksonville, FL and calls it home sweet home. Brothers, Mack Baker and Marcyy Marc and cousin, Pretty Eyez are Da Pretty Boyz; pleasing to the eye because they look good, but pleasing to the soul because they sound good.

In 2011 their first mixtape, “Flash Drive” was downloaded in a flash and their fans let them know they wanted more; and in 2012 a second one, “3 Royal Children” was here. Those mixtapes gave their fans a taste, but now the world will share that experience and then some, as their first album, yet untitled is in the mix. Songs like “Uh-Uh”, “I Like the Way” and “It’s A Party”, are musically vigorous, but their debut album will be like gumbo; a little of this and a little of that. The production of Travon Gutzmore is dynamic and each song will have you salivating and asking for seconds.

“We appreciate the compliments and don’t want to be known for that, because our performance is what will stand out. We want to take our fans breath away with our choreography,” says Mack Baker. “Having our performance so on point is critical. I want our fans to be able to relate to our lyrics if there were no sound, and they just watched us,” adds Marcyy Marc.

With the looks, music, production and performance, what more would they need? Preparation, guidance and someone who believed in them.

The Boyz are back in action with some exciting new music and story to tell…lets meet them!

From the outside looking in, describe Da Pretty Boyz.

Da Pretty Boyz are three young dudes with three different personalities that come together as one powerhouse super group that love to entertain.

What made music your career choice?

All of us have had a passion for music since we were little weather it was dancing or singing from a young age. School talent shows were always fun for us. So once we hit a certain age, and could take it seriously, we decided to take advantage of the opportunity.

What do you want listeners to get from your music?

We want people to know our story, our journey; That we’re just like every other artist that wants to make it but we aren’t the typical boy group.

Tell us about your current project!

Our current project we’ve been working on is our album. It’s our first album so we want to make sure it’s perfect! Our latest single is called “Butt Naked Nasty”. It’s a club banger. As soon as it comes on it makes you want to dance.

Which song from your body of work would you recommend to brand new listeners?

The song that best describes us is a song we haven’t released yet called “All These Girls”. We’re ladies men so it’s only right that we had to make a song about it.

Life outside of music?

Outside of music, we love playing sports. We all played sports growing up and in high school. We also love kickin it with the ladies and just having a good time.

Last but not least, The Hype Magazine readers want to know, “What has been your craziest Where They Do That at?!” moment thus far

Our craziest “Where they do that at?!” moment is when we had a show out of town and when we got to the hotel, the promoter already had girls in the hotel waiting for us! They were tryna get BUTT NAKED NASTY!
