Who is Sky-O ?

Tell us about Sky-O.

From the outside looking in Sky-O is highly motivated artist working for the advancement of my culture. As an artist, I provide a lot of energy, non-stop and personality.

What brought you to the music industry?

Growing up in a music household lead me into the entertainment industry, and as a kid I’ve been entertaining my family for years rapping and making jokes etc., so it was just a natural progression through life basically. I was always around music, so growing up in the Brooklyn in the 90s, there were so many dope artists out it was hard not to fall in love with rap music.

What would you like people to get from your music?

I want people to feel a sense of purpose from my music. I want people to be motivated and feel good, so good they want to be the best version of themselves and be creative and get high!!!

Tell us about your current project.

“High or Die” is out now, on Soundcloud, Datpiff, and Audiomack. My next Single is Entitled ” BED-STUY”, VIDEO WILL BE DROPPING VERY SOON. Currently, I have videos out for tracks off the mixtape entitled, ” KRYSTALZ”, ” DENVER ” & ” UALLREADYKNOW ” as well as a Documentary about my Mixtape on my website. www.uallreadyknow.com

Do you have a song you would recommend for first time listeners to get familiar with Sky-O?

I would say “Bed Stuy” because, thats where I’m from I give the listener a visual of every block in my neighborhood. So basically, if you’ve never been to Bedstuy you’re going to know about it after hearing the track.

Are you involved any anything special outside of music?

My work outside of music is promoting other unsigned artist well as shooting videos, hosting events, and promoting my own showcases. I’m working diligently on branding my movement. I have my own snapback line that I’m releasing in various colors this year.

I think it’s important as artists to share resources and help each other along the way. I like to provide a platform because I know how hard it is to break into the industry. So many people make great music especially in New York and if I help them and it relates back to me. It’s still a win!

What’s been your craziest “Where the do that at?!” moment?

My crazy where they do that moment, has to be is some of my homies had a BBQ with no food !!! lol, it was just liquor, before we knew it, all the girls left to go get food lol.. thats when I learned women love liquor weed and wings lol.
