0Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week Catwalk to Host Naeem Khan, Galia Lahav and Houghton
From April 26 to May 1, the catwalk of Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week, the benchmark event devoted to bridal fashion organized by Fira de Barcelona and one of the most important international events of its kind, will be host to 23 labels as well as 260 brands presenting their bridal dresses, grooms‘ attire, cocktail dresses and accessories at the trade show. All of them will be presenting their new collections for the Spring/Summer 2017 season to trade visitors and the media. This year the show will be visited by top international designers such as Naeem Khan, Galia Lahav and Houghton.
Naeem Khan will be presenting his new collection of bridal fashions and evening wear for the Fall/Winter 2015/2016 season on the BBFW catwalk. Born in Mumbai and a resident of New York, Khan dresses some of the world’s most famous women, including US First Lady Michelle Obama, Queen Noor of Jordan, Katy Perry, Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Penélope Cruz and Elsa Pataky. A member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America, Naeem founded his label in 2003 and recently moved into bridal wear in 2013.
Of Russian origin and hailing from Tel Aviv (Israel), Galia Lahav, the designer of one of the world’s most glamorous fashion brands, will be another of the international stars this year. She will be gracing the catwalk with her collection of wedding dresses known as ‘N.2 of GALA by Galia Lahav‘. In addition, Houghton, the US label that took part for the first time last year, is back at the Barcelona show to present 30 of its creations.
In total, 23 of the biggest labels will be showing their 2017 season collections at the event. Rosa Clarà will be the star of the first night of the catwalk, which through to 29 April will be hosting shows by Ramón Sanjurjo, Jesús Peiró, Cristina Tamborero, YolanCris, Isabel Sanchís, Inmaculada García, Naeem Khan, Marylise & Rembo Styling, Isabel Zapardiez, Ana Torres, Galia Lahav, Jordi Dalmau, Matilde Cano, M & M, Patricia Avedaño, Justin Alexander, Cymbeline, Fuentecapala, Houghton, Carla Ruiz and Sonia Peña. On the evening of Friday, April 29, Pronovias will put the finishing touch to this year’s catwalk lineup.
