Man-Child In The City: Kurt Vile and The Violators play Stubb’s in Austin
Philadelphia singer/songwriter Kurt Vile played Stubb’s Amphitheater in Austin, Texas on Friday, April 16th.
Currently touring with his band The Violators – consisting of Jesse Trbovich, Rob Laaks, and Kyle Spence – Vile continues to support his most recent CD “b’lieve i’m goin down…” released in September of last year.
His authentic, soulful sound has very often been described in terms of honest, authentic, and grounded with uncomplicated lyrics that feel familiar and soothing against a smooth, acoustic backdrop of guitar and banjo picking.
Dubbed Best New Album by Pitchfork, Kurt Vile and The Violators continue their tour through the East Coast before moving on to Canada and Europe throughout the summer.
