They are his backbone, the support system that encourages and motivates him to strive for greater heights. His father encouraged him to play the guitar. Musically, he was inspired by Meek Mill, Yo Gotti, Kanye West and Lupe.

As you see yourself, who is Savii?

Savii, is just a person who is one with himself, someone who really sees what life is and takes the advantage of every moment.

You recently won the battle at Lyrical Boxing, how did you obtain your freestyle skills?

I was in the Marines and during that time, I really had the chance to appreciate the craft as a whole. So me and my boy would just freestyle everyday. It just became natural after awhile.

What’s happened in your career that makes you feel this is the industry for you?

I say everything happens for a reason, I’ve been doing music, and rapping since 8th grade, and before that was playing instruments, and writing music. I eat, sleep, live, and breathe music. I believe everything happens for a reason, and the most random situations happening in my life all pointing one direction. Up!

What was the biggest obstacle in getting to your current career phase?

Getting out of the Marines.

Do you have any battles coming up?

My next battle is April 30th, 2016 in Atlanta defending my belt at Lyrical Boxing.

What do you feel has been your greatest life achievement so far?

I have traveled around the world, and actually getting to see it.

Last but not least, HYPE wants to know…What’s your CRAZIEST “Where they do that at?!” moment…

Sitting in a full bar in Thailand full of Aussies, and they started buying us drinks, and the ENTIRE bar, sang ‘Waltzing Matilda’ for me. And then the events after, classic.
