Go DJ Global announced today that hip hop chart topper Paul Wall and VH1’s Love & Hip Hopstar Jhonni Blaze have been added to the star-studded lineup of the 3rd Annual Go DJ Awards. Additional talent performing on the event’s mainstage include S_8ighty, Just Brittany, Lil Keke, Jaye Valentine, Jazz Anderson and DJ XO, whose new single, “I Just Pulled off the Lot” is currently the number one hit song in the Houston market.

The Go DJ Awards (www.godjawards.com) showcases the best in music and entertainment from both local artists and nationally and globally recognized talent. This year’s event will be hosted by radio personality JJ on the Mic, MC Kane and Tami Roman, star of VH1’s Basketball Wives, and will include a special tribute to Prince performed by some of Houston’s hottest artists.

“We have an incredible show planned,” said Go DJ Hi-C, celebrity DJ and founder of Go DJ Global. “Each year, the Go DJ Awards gets better and better. It’s a must-attend event for music lovers, tastemakers and Houston’s movers and shakers.”

The Go DJ Awards also honors local civic and business leaders. This year’s honorees include: Mayor Sylvester Turner; Ron Jemison, Jr., president of Franklin Beauty School and star of the OWN Network’s soon-to-airdocuseries Houston Beauty; Isiah Carey, Emmy Award-winning FOX 26 reporter; Jeffrey L. Boney, award-winning editor of the Houston Forward Times; Nakia Cooper, digital executive producer at CW 39 and vice president of multi-media for the Houston Association of Black Journalists; and Houston Native Lydia Harris, co-founder of Death Rowe Records.

The Go DJ Awards will take place at the NRG Center on Monday, July 18, also known as GO DJ Awards Day by official proclamation by the City of Houston. The red carpet kicks of at 6:00 p.m., with the awards show starting at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are currently available via Ticketmaster.

This year’s media partners include 97.9 The Box, Houston Forward Times, The Hype Magazine, African American News, Hip Hop Weekly and The Isiah Factor. Vendor and sponsorship opportunities are available and start at $1500. The awards show gives vendors and sponsors access to an affluent urban demographic and an opportunity to capitalize on nearly $1 million in media coverage and ad value.
