Rémy Martin Producer Series “season 2” Winner Revealed: Overlord

The “Remy Producer Series: Season 2” tour came to a close in New York this past Sunday (Sept. 25)- crowing Overlord as the series finale winner.

The finale took place at the Dream Downtown Hotel’s sunny PH-D Rooftop Lounge, where an eager crowd gathered to witness one of the hottest beat-battling competitions to ever hit the East Coast. Back by popular demand, music influencer Wyclef Jean and Power 105.1’s DJ Reymo retuned to rock out the stage during the event.

After 6 rounds, finalists Josh Lamont, NewO Tha Kid, Evan Brown, Ellio, Point 1, Real Precyse, D.H. The Composer, and Ovalord laid their best tracks on the table, including remixes of Wyclef’s new song “Hendrix.” In the end, Ovalord’s versatility was undeniable and the New York producer was announced the finale winner.

A title wasn’t all that Ovalord received that day. Prizes included an official Rémy Martin Producer Series “Season 2” Plaque, meetings with 300 Entertainment, $4,500 Guitar Center Gift Card, a Down Town Locker Room gift bag (Levi’s jacket and Jeans, New Era caps, Stance Socks), and Under Armour products (Bag and Sneakers).

During the event, a special announcement was made that “Season 3” of the Producer Series will take place on the West Coast this fall; two dates in Los Angeles and one date in San Francisco. Featured producer have yet to be announced, however, producer track submission details will be available in the coming weeks on remyproducers.com.
