Straight Outta Compton actor Camryn Howard behind the lens for ‘Requiem for Remorse’
“Straight Outta Compton” alum, Camryn Howard aka CAM30 (kam-e-oh) (@officialcam30) is releasing his short thriller “Requiem For Remorse” just in time for the Halloween season. The actor/recording artist who played the role of DJ Speed in the 2015 NWA biopic, produced and co-directed the anthology that stars HSN model/actress Lori Livingston and Grammy nominated recording artist Sabi. Michael Jackson’s “Moonwalker” and Howard’s obsession with science fiction/psychological films inspired “Requiem For Remorse”.
“Music and film have been a part of my life since I can remember,” recalls CAM30. “One memorable moment for me was Michael Jackson’s ‘Moonwalker’ particularly the ‘Smooth Criminal’ video. My neighbors who barely spoke English showed me the movie and image of Michael dancing with a machine gun. That left a lasting impression on me because it blended film with music at a time where it wasn’t seen or done before.”
“Requiem For Remorse” debuts October 28, 2016 with plans to hit the independent film circuit as well. I would love to share the “Requiem For Remorse” trailer on the site.
