Five Questions with Grace Valerie

Valerie Grace’s (@msgracevalerie) music has been heard internationally and featured on various stations including SIRIUS/XM’s 20 on 20. Her most recent single, “See How We Run” hopes to continue to bring in more fans from the international fan base already set in place. Her first single released in the United States was received with positive reviews from critics and fans alike. The single, “When the Lights Go Down” quickly reach #17 on Billboard’s club play chart with its music video quickly hitting a total of 1.6 million views.

Her response and follow-up single “Don’t Wanna be Waiting” was produced and co-written by Grammy winner and former American Idol host Randy Jackson. In just two days, “Don’t Wanna be Waiting” raced to the No. 1 position on KingOfSpin.com.

Continuing the success of her first two singles, Grace released additional singles including “Not for Love”, “Charades”, “Eclipse” and “Underneath the Mistletoe” as part of a Holiday EP. Most recently, Grace released “Magic” which she released last summer and celebrated by having a celebrity filled event at the rooftop of the W Hotel in Hollywood, CA.

Tell us about your current project and or single!

I co-wrote “See How We Run” with Brandon Paddock (who has worked with Grammy winners Pentatonix, Elle King, Christina Perri, Gavin DeGraw, Juan Gabriel, and  Avril Lavigne. ). We were at the studio with my producers Klaypex and decided to create something fun, upbeat and of course love related lol

Do you feel your current project is the best introduction to you as an artist?

Yes, I grow as an artist and my music evolves as well. I love what I do, I am honest when I write and give my all when I record. I hope that whoever hears “See How We Run” will think about their partner in life. Current or future. Love is beautiful, it conquers all.

What is the music landscape in your neck of the woods?

I can’t live without music period. I love POP. Dance. Hip Hop. R&B. Soul. Country. I love it all depending on my mood  or the atmosphere.

What’s on your horizon for 2017?

Lots of work, recording, filming. Living the dream.

The Hype Magazine wants to know: What’s been your CRAZIEST “Where they do that at?! Or “WTF?!” moment thus far in your career?

Honestly, I take every day one at a time and every day has their WTF moments. I think I was most excited when I heard the music video for “When the Lights Go Down” hit over 1.6 million views!
