Sky, who is the Director of Kids Got Talent Showcase has been working with kids for more than 15 years. She said to The Hype Magazine, Dance and music have always been my passions since I was born. I love working with children because they are young, energetic, and they listen. All they need is for someone to believe in them and give them a chance.

I could remember being a young child, growing up in a poor neighborhood in Jackson, Mississippi and struggling all my life. Life was never easy for me and my family and We did not have much. All we had was each other. I always knew I had a burning desire to make it and provide a better life for me and my family. That’s what motivated me to work so very hard and start a performing arts school in Jackson, Ms in the year 2000. My school was very successful and my students were always featured on television and newspapers for their outstanding performance.

Some of my former students have minored in music and dance, some are even professional dance instructors for schools and dance teams, and a few of my former students have signed major record deals and were even given the opportunity to be in the American Idol. Those are all major accomplishments to me, which means I must be doing something right. Some of these Kids from our showcase could be the next Beyonce, Michael Jackson or Whitney Houston. You just never know. I’m very proud of the gift that God has blessed me with. None of this would be possible without God and I preach that to my students and anyone I come in contact with because he allowed my dreams to come true. Now I get a chance to share my gifts and talents to children all over the world.
