Tor Miller Unveils New Music Video For ‘Always’
TOR MILLER UNVEILS NEW MUSIC VIDEO FOR ‘ALWAYS’

New York native and rising singer-songwriter Tor Miller has unveiled a new music video for ‘Always’, one of the standout tracks off his recently released debut album American English. Driven by piano, a huge backbeat and Miller’s impassioned vocal, the video for ‘Always’ was directed by award-winning filmmaker Fern Berresford and was shot in Greenwich foot tunnel in the early hours of the morning. The video premiered earlier today via Billboard.
“The video for Always is about the conflicting views the main character has on his current situation and the person he thinks he still loves,” says Tor. “Working with Fern was a great experience. We wanted to portray the conflicting emotions within the song, envisioning the tunnel as a sort of nightmare, which keeps looping – being haunted by apparitions of your significant other, questioning your future together. I think it’s my best video to date.”
Tor’s debut album American English was lead by ‘Carter & Cash’, which received tremendous support from both press and radio. Pigeons & Planes wrote, “Remember this moment. Carter & cash is the kind of song that could catapult a career…” while The Independent explained, “Carter & Cash is a foot-tapping, head-nodding trip: uplifting and spirited in a way that doesn’t make you grit your teeth.” Similar compliments were paid to ‘Surrender’ and subsequent tracks dropped in the lead up to the albums official release this past September.
Having spent most of 2016 touring, Tor is poised to kick off 2017 strong and will be joining BANNERS on the road. About Tor Miller
New York based Tor Miller made an instant name for himself playing at piano bars across the Lower East Side at a young age. Originally taught how to play the piano by a retired wedding singer, at eighteen Tor enrolled on the prestigious Clive Davis School of Recorded Music at New York University, developing both his voice and song writing. Signed to Glassnote Records (Phoenix, Mumford & Sons, Childish Gambino, CHVRCHES) in 2014, Tor posted a series of part iPhone recorded demos – just piano and voice online – which quickly helped to introduce this exciting, raw young talent to a wider audience far sooner than he’d anticipated.
