The Husel Releases his sophomore project, “The Side Husel”
While everyone knows and loves the Musiq Soulchild brand, the infamous singer was not present during this event at all! The Husel rather, was there performing live and giving the people something new and positive to interact with. After listening to his latest project, “The Side Husel,” you’ll realize that’s exactly what this artist is all about, giving everyday people music that will motivate them and keep them on their grind.
To celebrate the project’s release, The Husel opened a show at Milk River where he performed highlights from his first and second project, familiarizing the crowd with his music. While everyone awaited The Husel’s grand entrance, the crowd enjoyed sweets and cake provided by Antoinette Heard, the executive cake chef at Lovely Layers, and danced to music spun by Elite Musik Group’s, DJ L The General. Mid-show, there was a break allowing The Husel to speak to his room of supporters, media, and fans. During a live Q&A moderated by Valerie Carmel Victor, a Multimedia Journalist, The Husel answered questions about his latest project in front of a large audience. He explained that his sound and his music are not about trap music, and stated, “If people really pay attention, they’ll see what I’m trying to do.”
In the project, The Husel addresses a number of issues that prevent people from maintaining their husel such as fear, lack of consistency, negativity and more. The Husel worked together with Gregory Weekes, the musical producer for “The Side Husel,” and had the project hosted by the infamous, DJ Whoo Kid to bring the project to life. The project is a compilation of 10 tracks available for streaming, and free download on www.datpiff.com. While The Husel is still in the early stages of his creativity and development, he openly invites his fans and listeners to “tell me what they think, because i’m doing this for the people.”
