Recap: 2 Chainz x Ewing 33 Hi shoe release in Atlanta

The 2 Chainz x Ewing 33 Hi called the #LouieEwing was launched at a special event at Jimmy Jazz in Harlem on March 21st, (from 5-7pm at 239 W 125th St, NY, NY 10027), with the rapper in the house for a meet & greet with fans. The second release was in his hometown of Atlanta on March 23, 2017, at City Gear in South Dekalb Mall 2 Chainz met and greeted with as many of his fans as possible. The Hype Magazine’s own Erricka Mystorie was there to cover the event in Atlanta.

2Chainz has teamed up with Ewing Athletics in March of 2017 for his very own edition of the 33HI. The iconic Patrick Ewing signature shoe is made over with the rapper’s creative signature flair, featuring an all-new construction of the high-top in reflective 3M checkered mesh underlay with a lightweight mesh overlay with reflective bonded seams.

The effect is fully realized when shot by a camera with flash. This is something that the Ewing shoe company has never tried before. The bold look is finished with “33 EWING” branding on one heel and “2 CHAINZ” on the other. Every pair comes with a unique dual-branded box and a keychain featuring 2Chainz’s French bulldog Trappy.

There are only a limited number made available worldwide. At a retail price of $140, 2Chainz insisted on making it affordable for his fanbase.

The release comes just in time for 2Chainz latest album “Pretty Girls Like Trap Music,”due out in early April 2017. If you don’t live near a City Gear or Jimmy Jazz, you can purchase a pair on https://shop.ewingathletics.com/
