RICO Album Pre order:

A founding member of Southern hip hop group D4L, Shawty Lo is one of the most prolific artists and personalities from Atlanta’s music scene. Shawty Lo passed away in 2016 but his legacy and contribution to music will continue to live on and today, 300 Entertainment announces the release of his posthumous album, RICO. Available March 24, 2017, the first single from the release “My Love ft. Lyfe Jennings”, drops today. The album is available for pre-order via Amazon, iTunes and Google Play.

With their debut album, “Down For Life”, receiving certified gold status, D4L reached mainstream success with early singles, “Betcha Can’t Do It Like Me” and “Laffy Taffy” – the later of which would go on to break a Guinness World Record for the most downloaded song in 2007.

Shawty Lo’s solo debut, Units in the City featured guest appearances from Gucci Mane and fellow D4L members. The album peaked at number 14 on the US Billboard 200 Charts, and number 2 on the Top Rap Album Charts. Shawty Lo went on to release several mix tapes and collaborate with the likes of Ludacris, Lil Wayne, Trey Songz, Lil Kim and more.

The release of RICO (3/24) falls on the weekend of Shawty Lo’s 41st birthday (3/22) and also features cameos of his children Quando and Keke. Additional collaborations include Boosie and Ralo as well as OT Genesis and D4L member, Stuntman.
