Dope New Artist Claire Mortifee
Claire Mortifee is a singer and songwriter from Vancouver, BC now living in LA. She lights up her vocals, with a psychedelic ambience . Her performance is on point; influenced by the artist with the likeness of Amy Winehouse, Erykah Badu, Little Dragon and Grimes. Claire is for sure a dope artist that blends jazz and hip hop with psychedelic undertones.
Claire creates music from a classical paradigm, blending elements of soft jazz, soul and hip hop. With an electronic pulse and Afrocentric grooves, Claire keeps her style original and real. She expresses a compelling essence of truth that is thoughtful and beautifully represented in her music.
Claire’s debut album “Medicines” is in the works and drops shortly. It features productions and collaborations with some of Vancouver’s best and brightest, and marks a turning point in the young visionary’s career and in her journey.
